There were still a few hours of daylight left so I went out again but this time I went south and walked along the edge of the fencing in the southern part of Pripyat. I found a Bloodsucker standing over a dead Pseudodog and gave it the zap. I continued westward past the Book Store and then once reaching the farthest south-west corner of Pripyat, started going north along its western edge.

I found three Pseudodogs by the Grocery Store but luckily not another Controller. Another Bloodsucker was found at the end of the building in the same plaza in the north-west corner along the fence line, and it got zapped by my Gauss rifle. From there I went slightly east until I came to the archway north to the large open area full of fire and burner anomalies. Like before, I found three Zombies that were hanging out there and they provided me with the first loot of this venture. Continuing along the western edge, I saw some broken wooden boards at the base of an apartment building that was hiding a GP-37 and ammo. Sweet.

Continuing north, I reached a new section of fencing that was now positioned as an angle no longer going south to north but south-west to north-east. Right at that point, in the basement access at the end of the building I found an AN-94, ammo, energy drink and Hercules. By this time, it is really getting dark and really hard to distinguish any men or mutants against the bushes and other foliage that surrounded every building in Pripyat. It was just really uncomfortable being out at dusk, when you couldn't see very well but still too bright for night vision to help.

I had just enough loot where I had to eat a sausage to be able to move without needing Hercules. To the north-east was the looming six story Yubileiny Service Center, where my PDA told me the X-8 Lab was waiting on my arrival. I still needed to do the "One Hit" job before it, so I was just trying to explore all of Pripyat and find stashes before taking on those two big jobs. I was moving slowly eastward when I detected three NPCs on my Mini-Map and I was too far away from the Yubileiny Service Center for it to be anyone inside there. I was beginning to worry about being ambushed and then I saw the silhouette of three Exoskeleton Zombies walking my direction.

I shot them with my FT-200M and moved in to loot them. Knowing I was going to be overweight; I drank some Hercules and grabbed the loot and then quickly started going south. The Kindergarten was east and a place I wanted to avoid at dusk, so I continued going parallel and then got back to the plaza with the Grocery Store and then went eastward more or less directly back to the Laundromat. It always feels best getting back there when the sun is going down.
