0A ‘Saints Row’ reboot is coming out in February 2022.
Announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2021, a reboot of the popular open world action-adventure series sees players in the city of Santo Ileso, a fictional city set in the American Southwest, which is “currently controlled by three enemy factions: Los Panteros, The Idols, and Marshall Defense Industries.”
A CG trailer for the title was shown which reveals the game’s new gang, The Boss, Neenah, Eli, and Kevin on their mission to build up their criminal empire.
In an Xbox Wire post following the announcement, Jim Boone, Chief Creative Officer at Deep Silver Volition expanded more on the storyline of the upcoming game.
He said: “You start out as the future Boss, our charismatic murder machine, and you get to decide who you want to be, with extensive customization options; you literally get to be Self Made.
“You team up with your three best friends, Neenah, Eli, and Kevin and begin your mission to rise to the top and build your criminal empire.”
Boone went on to explain that players must defeat the three enemy factions and take Santo Ileso as their own, whilst experiencing “epic gunfights and highspeed chases as you explore the biggest and best Saints Row playground ever, laced with the signature humor the series is known for.”
The ‘Saints Row’ reboot will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via a timed Epic Games Store exclusive on February 25, 2022.
