Apex Legends has released a new update which nerfs the battle royale’s newest legend, Seer.

Seer first joined the Apex Legend’s roster at the start of Season 10 on August 3, and since then many fans had believed the character to be overpowered, especially his Heart Seeker ability.

Following many complaints of Seer’s abilities being broken, developer Respawn Entertainment has now released an update to the game which introduces balance changes to the character.

Changes have been made to Seer’s passive ability (Heart Seeker), tactical ability (Focus of Attention), and ultimate ability (Exhibit) to reduce their overall effectiveness which many believed to be too overpowered.

For changes to Seer’s passive, they have “increased wait time between sensor spikes for full HP targets (1.25s to 1.75s)”, “removed center circle ellipses”, “reduced range beyond 75m (blue spikes)”, and “reduced field of view”.

As for changes to his tactical ability, changes made include, “increased detonation delay from 1.4s to 1.6s”, “player hits are no longer damaged or flashed. Screen shake from being hit is also reduced”, “move slower while holding tactical”, “lowered volume on audio”, and “fixed tactical FX being visible in firing range when it’s not supposed to be”.

And for changes to his Exhibit ability, they have “increased cooldown from 90s to 120s”, and “lowered volume on audio”.
