The Salvation Army in Watford welcomed people over the age of 60 who might otherwise have been alone, for three full days of fun, laughter and shared meals to 'holiday' together. The event provided a complete holiday experience without the need to pack a suitcase. The church halls were decorated to reflect the surroundings of the orient express. Those who attended cannot travel far for different reasons, making this a special opportunity to relax, form new friendships and welcome many people into The Salvation Army for the first time.
