Hamodava Coffee Company began in 1987 (CORRECTION*** 1887) by The Salvation Army’s Herbert Booth. They grew coffee, tea, and cocoa and put profits back into the plantations and the pockets of the people who lived on them, helping local communities work the land and become self-sufficient. Now, since fading from our shelves in the 1920’s, Hamodava Coffee has returned, grown with the utmost care and a century of expertise, with the same intent of sharing what is made, with the ones who make it. Now, coffee lovers in New Zealand and the world can enjoy Hamodava Coffee, with a portion of the purchase price going directly back to support The Salvation Army’s front line social work.
