Scorched Planet (Work in progress vid #4) with Dosbox-Rendition and RReady Rendition Verité @4k
ICR2 has been successfully bound to DOS32/A and accepts higher memory limits, but still refuses to load custom carsets+custom tracks or even heavy tracks. But work is ongoing and has been all week. The game also seems to randomly slowdown with DOS32A.
Since this is the weekend, here's another shot at Scorched Planet.
The menus and the cockpit view render correctly now. The menus were caused by a buffer calculation option that some DOS games needed not being set. The cockpit view wasn't working before because the game was expecting BitBlts (V_FIFO_BITBLT/VL_BitBlt()) to work like the Windows RRedline games, unlike the other DOS games.
The menus are slower than real hardware, even the V1000 has ridiculously fast menu animations. The cockpit view also has a little bit of corruption.
RReady has a number of bugs fixed, including not handling brake balance in ICR2 when the Windows keyboard layout wasn't set to US-English or UK-English (Sorry Canadian French!). This has been fixed now and will go into testing. An Alpha release will be made available on Vogons with all these fixes and in the MS store before next weekend.
