What'd you guys think of that last boss fight, eh? Certainly hit the spot. We were well fed last time, as we performed a cleansing on Torment Peak and destroyed the Dweller of Torment. This also saved a family of gorillas, who's mother was actually a Divine Spirit called the 'Gorilla Matriarch'. Now that she's freed, she has fixed the giant stone statue here. Let's see if we can use it to find the Vial of Time for Resh'an.

CHAPTER 24 - VIAL OF TIME

So this chapter starts more or less, either in the scene immediately following the boss fight against the Dweller of Torment, or as soon as you pop back onto the world map. Either way, it's a new chapter. It's a short one too, so let's see if we can take care of a couple things.

First thing's first though, let's get the Vial of Time. On the world map, we'll change the time of day using our Solstice Amulet to move the light generated by the stone giant's prism. If you move it to the bottom right of the statue, it will reveal a new area 'Mossy Cache'. Here, you'll be given a classic tile puzzle.

I thought it was going to be one of those puzzle that you have to slide the tiles. But you're actually just rotating them. It's beyond easy, as the outer pieces have a border, so you just need to line it up. Then just simply keep rotating the center tile until it's correct. It appears to be a drawing of Resh'an.

The platform behind will rise and reveal the Vial of Time at the top. You can head back to the Archives now, via the portal on Lake Docarria. But I'm going to pop down to the Village and trade in my Rainbow Conches. By now, I have 22, which means I can get three building plans for Mirth: Inn, Shop and Fishing Hut. So let me grab those, then head to the Archives.

Resh'an will finally decide to join the party. Though he sets certain conditions about how he can fight with them. We're also not allowed to reveal his secret identity, however Teaks is able to figure it out almost immediately. Everyone on the Vespertine seems to like and accept Resh'an, so it sounds like he's a keeper.

From here, you're free to head to Mesa Island. However, I want to take care of two quick things. First, we'll stop by Mirth and hand the building plans over to Jirard the 'Constructionist'. I haven't found anyone to run the inn or fishing hut, but the father/son we met in Docarri Village settle in to run the shop.

If you head down from Jirard, you'll see a new house here which belongs to former Headmaster and current Elder Moraine. There's a treasure chest here that contains the key to Moraine's office back in Zenith Academy. We'll grab it and head all the way back to Mooncradle Village.

Use the lift (this took me a while to remember since I think we only used this once) to go up to Zenith Academy. In Moraine's office there is the 'Moonstone Bracer'. This not only boosts Magic Attack for Valere by 10, which is more than the 'Solstice Sash', but it also reduces the MP cost of Valere's skill 'Lunar Shield'!

It's an absolute must have item! Definitely well worth the ten minutes it took to grab it. Now we're ready to head to Mesa Island. As an added treat, I've included the story Teak's received from Resh'an. It's called the 'Two Alchemists' and it basically finally explains the total premise of the game!

Resh'an actually started the order of the Solstice Warriors. It's a really good story. I definitely recommend giving it a read. Anyway, a new chapter starts more or less here. So we're going to take a break.

Join us next time for Chapter 25 - 'The Sleeping Giant'.
