Secret of Evermore - Self-Imposed Challenge Run Part 24: The White Castle of Cleanliness
Rules so far:
-No switching to the Dog in an active combat area unless absolutely necessary
-Dog must not be dropped to 0 HPs
-Pixie Dust, Wings, and Call Beads are not allowed
-Alchemy restrictions to be determined
-Bone Crusher banned after Thraxx; all other Swords banned
-Horn Spear only allowed for a case of That One Boss or for demonstration purposes; all other Spears banned other than Bronze Spear
-All Collars other than Leather Collar banned
-Jade Disc, Moxa Stick, and Chocobo Egg banned for Antiqua and Gothica
-Armor Polish banned for Antiqua until Oglin Caves
-Most rules disabled for convenience in non-threatening areas
Explanation for first rule exception: the free Defender Collar can only be obtained by killing all 5 of the enemies in the prison before freeing the Boy. Freeing the Boy would have made this easier anyway due to advantages with numbers such as the AI's passive offense management, and thus I have to manage around the rule of keeping the Dog alive, which is the more important rule.
Going around town, I'm opting to just live a little because I have nothing better to do for the next 8 minutes 46 seconds and the world is fine. I don't know what people are yammering on about with some guy named "George Floyd", because this entertainment could even let me into the castle. I just have to make dealings with this White Queen Sigrid to get something going with as much, which includes going through multiple intimidating mazes because of some chaos. But all is well, and I can certainly ignore White Queen Sigrid telling my "stinky mutt" to buzz off. FOR CLEANLINESS!
(Yes, in case you don't get it, I'm parodying what happens with Bystander Syndrome. I'm sick of it myself because of what has been happening with my parents' house. Besides, veterans will get that this fits the game's story anyway. Oh, and by the way, yes, the Dog Maze is more intimidating than anything, and so is the stinking sewers with their poo gas that actually seeps into gameplay. Also, notice the lack of a filter for the sewers' output? Want to bet there's symbolism with the sewers?)
