FootKnight fight at 43:06 for anybody who cares about that reject.
Most of this is ultimately politics. But then again, how much do people care about the Ghost Ticket Seller glitch, or how FootKnight is an attempt at a shoutout to the L-shaped movement of Knights in Chess who instead proves to be a reject just asking for the pun I throw in his direction? Nah, people have been wanting to shove politics down my throat anyway.
First off, the "Show of Life" puppet show by Totally-Not-William-Shakespeare has me needing to make a point about what happens with writing females in works where the topic of sexism is an inevitability, such as with a story that centers around, oh right, knights. Obviously, having females be free does help their genuine points, but that's the thing: they should have genuine points in the first place. Without that, there's nothing to stop them from pulling some backstabbing garbage where they can call whoever they damn well please a "weirdo" behind your back. Something has to punctuate the happy medium when all is said and done.
You want to know who else want to be their own worst enemies without the slightest bit of remorse? Gaming community members like RoahmMythril and his sycophantic userbase. I've had those people basically turn me into the scumbags' puppet just so they didn't have to be called out on their Bystander Syndrome loads that they took to incredibly irritating levels. RoahmMythril himself just proves what happens when one chooses to be a product of their own circumstances, when his circumstances involves him being a gamer and gunshop worker from Texas, a state already known for legalizing murder and arbitrarily invalidating evidence.
It's worth bringing up that a big reason why gaming communities are the mess they are can be traced back to Japan being interested in power plays after the Hiroshima incident, and those power plays leak into Nintendo, the industry's savior from the '83 crash AND the first party with the kid-friendly image, indulging in hypocrisy about creativity as well as having their message about the George Floyd incident be so generic. Of course there's ugly double standards all around in gaming communities when the role models have problematic behaviors and anybody who calls them out is automatically "salty." Sorry, but I haven't forgotten about the Cross Assault incident.
And the worst part about the likes of RoahmMythril? We as gamers could be better, SHOULD be better, but too often choose not to be even when it's necessary. Make yourself a drink, sit back, and imagine for a second if for example Kid Icarus Uprising had shifted some of its development resources from its advertisement campaign that lead to the Miiverse screenshot controversy, to polishing the Power system and general gameplay to better encourage players to walk into the arena with their heads held high. As long as gaming communities instead reward bullying, that sort of thing is a pipe dream at best. Instead, what we will get is the general ending of the Gothica arc, and trust me, it won't be the cleanest thing ever.
