This was a weird session for me, honestly. While everything ended up working out just the way I was hoping for, progress was sort of stop and start for the entire night. The worst part is that I actually managed to start early this time, yet I decisively squandered what ever advantage that could've given me. On the plus side, I'm not really focused on exploring the hub world any more, which is a time saver. I also managed to get all of the current photo challenges in Forktown, so that's a nice little achievement -- even if it didn't come with an actual in-game achievement.

That being said, the second level I went to in Neo New City ended up eating up way too much time. Fortunately, KI informed me that was genuinely the least straightforward level in the entire game, so I shouldn't have to worry about anything like that again until the Return Trip.

Speaking of which, I'm still planning to do all of the Return Trip levels, despite only needing 50 of the total 56 batteries to unlock the final boss. Honestly, the fact that I'd need to do so many of them makes skipping out on just six of them seem a bit petty. That being said, if I'm in a scenario where I can clearly get to the final boss in a session without having enough time to finish off the rest, I'll probably just drop out early. Still, I'm expecting at continuing at a rate of roughly one world per stream, so I doubt that'll happen.

Anyway, it was surprising just how quickly I managed to tackle the rest of the world with little issue after that one major stumble. The most surprising bit is that I actually managed to beat the boss on my first try. Considering how much trouble I had with the first couple, I was expecting this to be more of the same. But in the end, I actually managed to have enough time left over to grab an extra achievement: grabbing the few cakes I missed in the first world's initial batch of stages.
