SH: Homecoming - skip last prison puzzle + fun cutscene glitch
6So, your destination is Solitary Confinement. Normally you have to collect three pieces of wire and toss them around inside a junction box until all connections work. But there's an alternative way to progress as well...
You can get to Solitary Confinement early by either from the 1st or the 2nd floor, both options are shown on the video. Based on my skip research of the whole area, the 2nd floor alternative is likely the one to be used in a speedrun, because another skip right before conveniently leaves you near that place.
At the 1st floor, I found this set-up. Breach a wall to the left of the door. Aim downwards and slowly start aiming more and more to the left. Eventually the game deposits Alex inside the Confinement area.
At the 2nd floor, things seem to be a bit simpler. Just start the glitch and get a little inside the wall. Then aiming left and down enough will make Alex slide quite smoothly through the collision. However, now you are actually left on top of the Confinement area instead of inside it. Enjoy the out of bounds scenery, and there's also an unknown object floating on nothingness that is visible from here. You can still hit the cutscene for the next trigger by descending to the side a bit, so do that when you're ready, and...
The prison finale cutscene glitches up so that Alex's Mom isn't around. Way to ruin a dramatic scene. Or maybe this is what really happens in the game, with Alex just imagining things. Obviously, this is pretty spoiler-heavy material if you haven't played the game yet.
