5Today I bring you a brutal NES classic:
Shadow of the Ninja, also known in Japan as Kage.
A fast-paced action game that many remember for its dark setting and super-polished gameplay for its time.
We play as Hayate and Kaede, two ninjas who must infiltrate the fortress of a futuristic tyrant.
Graphically, it's some of the best on the NES: multiple scrolls,
smooth animations, and weather effects that were almost science fiction in 1990.
The music is incredible: composed by Iku Mizutani, it blends powerful riffs with pure tension.
Plus, you could play co-op, which made it even more spectacular.
