Shining Force II (Part 3--Departure from Granseal)
0Now that I have the whole video thing under control (I think), I should be able to release videos MOAR FREQUENTLY.
Story: The evil Gizmo escapes just as it is cornered, and on the way back into the castle, it becomes more and more suspicious that it has its eyes set on a particular target. A possessed King Granseal and Astral have a small conflict, resulting in his exhaustion. The minister sends soldiers out to find and kill the Gizmo. ("It doesn't matter if he dies. He's old anyway," the minister says about Astral's condition. How morbid.) Upon the king's discussion with Astral, they decide to confer with a historian who lives northwest of Yeel. The king requests that Dai and the force journey the short distance to Yeel and beyond to visit Hawel. At first, Dai is reluctant, but he accepts eventually. After updating weaponry from Granseal's shop, the force leaves Granseal, picking up the slow Jaha--the tardy student.
New character analysis (1 being weak, 5 being strong):
Jaha -- WARR
HP: 2.5
Attack: 3.5
Defense: 4
Agility: 2
MOV: 1
Battle 2: Huge Rat x2 / Ooze x4
Strategy: Nothing special; rats are not affected by terrain, making their range somewhat deadly when combined with their high Attack.
Goal: Sustain no casualties, play catch-up with Sarah.
Leveling up Chester should be no problem at all, now that he has a new weapon and doubled range.

I check the Status screen often to see how even EXP is being divided because it really matters. The difference in enemy level and player level determines EXP received. So to prevent having one level 4 character and the rest level 1 instead of all level 2-3, I have to ration the EXP. Besides, trying to baby an underleveled character through a battle is annoying. Though I have forgone the original plan of not using the church to revive fallen allies, I have no intention of grinding.
