Freeware jank.

I wanted this one to be good. I really wanted it to be worth playing. But no. Another stain on DOOM's reputation caused by over-ambitious fan-projects that just aren't any fun.

Okay, so it's certainly nowhere near as bad as the awful, AWFUL pile of shit known as 'DOOM 6666'... this is a massive advantage.

However, it's still lacking in so many areas. Weapons aren't animated at all, and they feel awkward to handle at all times. Combat is nothing but a chore. But what the hell, I can't complain too much. Sure it's badly designed, but it's at least somewhat solid (if lazy), and the controls at least behave themselves.

Sounds though? Thcuh. Some tribute. They probably weren't even trying to get those right, and it sure as hell wasn't for copyright reasons.

Oh well, it's freeware; I can't go and expect retail quality from this. Although this is a pointless statement, as I can't really expect retail quality from EA either.
