Silent Hill 2 Walkthrough Part 10: Apex Of Guilt (FINAL BOSS FIGHTS & ENDING)
0James enters another area of the destroyed Lakeview Hotel where he sees two pyramid-headed monsters holding Maria suspended in a hanging metal frame moments before executing her with their spears. Upon witnessing this, James realizes the point of the creature's existence; It is a manifestation of his own guilty conscience regarding the murder of his own wife that represents both the act of murder of Mary and James' own psyche. Having recently been confronted with his deed, newly determined James decides that he no longer needs the monster to remind him of his crime and engages two Pyramid Heads in direct combat, causing them to eventually commit suicide by impaling themselves on their own spears. Afterwards, James makes his way onto the hotel's rooftop where he sees Mary. However, upon approaching her, it is quickly revealed that "Mary" is actually disguised Maria who refuses to let James go despite him having realized the truth. After James refuses to listen to her, Maria proclaims that James deserves to die alongside Mary before transforming into grotesque monster resembling Mary's corpse suspended in a metal cage. After a brief fight on the hotel rooftop, Maria's cage falls on the ground, leaving the monster within helpless as James executes it.
As he kills Maria, James has a flashback-like vision where Mary urges him to go on with his life as James shows remorse for cutting her already diminishing life short, claiming to have done it primarily out of desire to end her suffering. Honoring her request, James finds Laura and leads her out of Silent Hill, intending to raise her as his own child...
And that brings the main portion of Silent Hill 2 walkthrough on this channel to a close, dear gamers.
