Silent Hill 2 Walkthrough Part 8: Labyrinth (Abstract Daddy & Eddie Dombrowski Boss Fights)
0James enters the door in front of which he was dropped off by the elevator which he took in Toluca Prison, finding himself in subterranean, labyrinth-like complex full of monsters. As he navigates through the complex network of underground tunnels and identical rooms and hallways while also trying to evade his pyramid-headed pursuer, James enters the room where he finds Maria inexplicably alive and cut off from him by bars. As James tries to comprehend her survival due to the brutal nature of her death in Brookhaven Hospital, Maria lapses into speech pattern eerily similar to Mary's, unnerving James further as he promises to find a way to free her from the room. Continuing on through the labyrinthine structure, James finds himself in a hallway where he hears screams coming from one of the rooms. Upon entering the room which appears to be made out of flesh, James finds Angela pressed against the wall as large, fleshy monster prepares to attack her, engaging it in brief fight and killing it before it can harm either him or Angela. As he goes to check on Angela afterwards, she attacks downed monster, ultimately confronting James and suggesting that he wants to rape her, indirectly revealing herself to have been sexually abused by her father with both the monster killed by James and the fleshy room where the fight took place serving as symbols for Angela's father and the environment where she was abused. After Angela leaves, James heads deeper into the labyrinth and eventually finds the door leading into the second half of the room where he met Maria. However, he finds Maria dead once again and after briefly mourning her death once more, continues on, eventually finding himself on the graveyard where he finds three graves whose tombstones reveal them to be reserved for Eddie, Angela and James himself with his own grave being dug as seemingly bottomless pit. Upon jumping inside, James finds himself in a hallway which eventually leads him into what appears to be a large meat locker. There, he finds Eddie surrounded by multiple corpses and quickly realizes that he has mentally snapped as he angrily recounts some of the insults he has endured during his life due to his excess weight and admitting to have shot a dog dead and crippled its owner, one of his old bullies, before coming to Silent Hill while on the run from law enforcement, finally announcing his intention of killing anyone who laughs at him again. Upon hearing this, James tries to talk Eddie down with paranoid man refusing to listen to him and ultimately turning on him, accusing James of secretly mocking him ever since they first met before trying to shoot him, forcing James to engage Eddie in a brief shootout within the meat locker in order to defend himself, ultimately killing him, much to his own horror. Upon leaving the locker, James inexplicably finds himself back in the fog-covered Silent Hill, more specifically, on Toluca Lake docks. With Lakeview Hotel on the other side on the lake, James takes the boat and rows there, intent on finding Mary. His resolve only grows stronger once he enters the hotel and finds a visitor map of the hotel interior with room 312, a room where Mary and James were situated during their visit to Silent Hill, marked with a message reading "Waiting for you". While investigating a restaurant on the hotel's ground floor, James once again runs into Laura and learns more about Laura's and Mary's joint stay in the hospital a year prior, also being shown a letter written by Mary and meant for Laura herself which she acquired before coming to Silent Hill. Laura also reveals that there was a letter meant for James as well but as she prepares to hand it to him, she reveals that she must have dropped it somewhere before running off...
