Previously, Davilas continued the Dark Brotherhood quest line with the primary quests "Sanctuary", "Mourning Never Comes", and "Whispers in the Dark". After carrying out the first three contract quests for Nazir, Davilas learned that he could near the Night Mother, which Cicero had brought to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. Now, Davilas will carry out two more contract quests for Nazir so that a couple more primary quests become available.

First, Davilas carries out "Contract: Kill Hern". From his home at Lakeview Manor, he rides to Half-Moon Mill, which is north by northwest of Falkreath.

Along the way, he discovers the Falkreath Watchtower.

Half-Moon Mill straddles a stream just off the lake. After breaking into the main house, he provokes Hern into attacking him with a dialogue choice, which prevents Davilas from incurring a bounty for killing him.

Next, Davilas carries out "Contract: Kill Lurbuk". He fast-travels north to Morthal. Lurbuk does his terrible barding in Moorside Inn. He is fairly easy to kill with a sneak attack, as long as the inn is not crowded and nobody is watching.

Davilas fast-travels back to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. As he arrives, Astrid approaches him. Realizing that they should check out the Night Mother's potential contract, she issues the primary quest "The Silence Has Been Broken". Davilas must travel to Volunruud and meet Amaund Motierre.

In the sanctuary, Davilas reads the book "Sithis", which increases Alteration.

Davilas reports fulfillment of his contracts to Nazir. This concludes "Contract: Kill Hern" and "Contract: Kill Lurbuk". Davilas earns gold for each contract. Nazir is no fan of spoony bards, that's for sure.

For "The Silence Has Been Broken", Davilas fast-travels to Volunruud north of Whiterun. After entering the dungeon, he takes the first left and finds the client, Amaund Motierre. Amaund is plotting nothing less than the assassination of the Emperor! His servant gives Davilas Amaund Motierre's Sealed Letter and the Jeweled Amulet. Davilas must deliver these to Astrid.

Davilas fast-travels back to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary and reports to Astrid. The prospect certainly entices her. She takes the letter asks Davilas to take the Jeweled Amulet to Delvin Mallory in Riften for appraisal.

Davilas fast-travels to the Thieves Guild in Riften. Down in the Ragged Flagon, he visits Delvin Mallory. It turns out the amulet is genuine and one-of-a-kind. Delvin purchases it with a Letter of Credit, which Davilas must take to Astrid. But this raises questions as to just who wants the Emperor dead.

Davilas fast-travels back to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. There, he reports back to Astrid. "The Silence Has Been Broken" complete!

Then, Astrid assigns Davilas the next primary quest, "Bound Until Death". Davilas is to kill Vittoria Vici, the Emperor's first cousin, during her wedding reception at the Temple of the Divines in Solitude. There will be a bonus if Davilas does the deed while Vici is addressing the crowd, per wedding custom. This is likely to cause political trouble and lure the Emperor to Skyrim.

Many of the folks around the sanctuary will offer helpful advice about carrying out the current contract. I especially like Babette's suggestion.

Before leaving for Solitude, it is a good idea to leave your follower behind.

Davilas fast-travels to Solitude. The wedding reception is already underway in the courtyard at the Temple of the Divines. Davilas chooses to kill Vittoria with the Loose Gargoyle while she is addressing the crowd from the balcony. If he does it well, he will not be noticed.

Davilas fast-travels back to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. There, he reports to a happy Astrid. "Bound Until Death" complete! Davilas earns the power Summon Spectral Assassin, which summons the spirit of an assassin to fight alongside Davilas. Since he fulfilled the bonus requirements, Davilas earns a good amount of gold, too. For completing this quest, the player earns the trophy "Bound Until Death".

Then, Astrid issues the next primary quest, "Breaching Security". Davilas must speak with Gabriella. This next contract has to do with the Emperor's security.

Next time, Davilas will continue the Dark Brotherhood quest line.
