This is video #005 in my playthrough of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on the PlayStation 4. I am playing the game vanilla. This game has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB. This video does not contain commentary.

Previously, Davilas arrived at Bleak Falls Barrow and explored the first portion, Bleak Falls Temple. He recovered Lucan's Golden Claw from Arvel the Swift, who was not swift enough. Now, he will explore Bleak Falls Sanctum in search of the barrow's buried secrets.

Davilas continues on into Bleak Falls Sanctum. More traps and more Draugur await.

He finds a door that takes the Golden Claw as a key. The palm of the Golden Claw itself has the solution: a bear at the top, a butterfly in the middle, and a coccoon at the bottom.

In the crypt beyond, he finds a wall emanating a strange power. From it, he learns his first word of power: Force, Unrelenting Force. Afterwards, he is directed to take the Golden Claw back to Lucan.

But not so fast! A Draugr Overlord climbs out of the nearby sarcophagus. When it is dead, be sure to loot it for the Dragonstone. This is an item for a quest coming up in the near future.

The dungeon's boss chest is next to the Draugr Overlord's sarcophagus. Looting it marks the dungeon as cleared.

Climbing past the crypt, Davilas will find a back door leading out to the world map. He makes his way back to Riverwood.

Back in Riverwood, he stops in at the Riverwood Trader and delivers the Golden Claw to Lucan Valerius. This completes the quest "The Golden Claw". Lucan rewards Davilas with 400 gold. Also, Lucan is now friendly, so Davilas can take certain things without it being flagged as stealing.

Afterwards, Davilas makes his way along the road to Whiterun. He still has to report that dragon attack on Helgen. The road is not long, and it is not terribly dangerous.

Along the way, he comes upon some revelers drunk on Honningbrew Mead. I'm not sure what happens if you drink with them, so I'll skip it.

Not far from Whiterun, Davilas finds the Honningbrew Meadery. Not far beyond, at the Pelagia Farm, he finds a group of hardy folks taking down a giant. Aela the Huntress invites him to talk to Kodlak Whitemane in Jorrvaskr, a hall in Whiterun, to see if he has what it takes to join the Companions.

Davilas discovers the Whiterun Stables outside the city.

At the gates, he is challenged by guards worried about dragons. But when he reports that Riverwood is calling for the Jarl's aid, he is admitted right away.

Davilas heads directly up towards Dragonsreach, the Jarl's palace. Next time, he will head into Dragonsreach to report on what's going on.
