We get closer to the end of my Colecovision series with a great conversion of a fairly odd arcade knockoff of CENTIPEDE (which is coming up soon on the list), created by a company called "Century II" and licensed to GDI-- if you never heard of either company I would understand perfectly. The gist of this is that you control a cannon which can rapid-fire its shots like in Centipede, you have a long critter that breaks up into smaller parts like in Centipede, you have a creature that can replace things you shoot (here, cactii and not muchrooms) like in Centipede, and another creature bobs up and down making like difficult (here, a pterodactyl instead of a spider), again-- like in Centipede. Some cool differences though; one, you get bonus points for time on your bonus timer added to your score when all snake parts are eliminated (but more snakes emerge if you run out of bonus time), two, the snake can only kill you with its head, and most importantly, three, you can move ALL over the playfield and shoot up or down! This REALLY sets it apart from Centipede for a cool new experience. The tougher skill settings will make the snakes faster and the demon/pterodactyl faster, but unless you can figure out the trakball emulation to an acceptable degree (I sure as hell couldn't), I suggest you go with skill setting #1. Definitely worth the accolades it got for this system. Hope you're staying safe, and the weather is good to you (it got really hot today in my neighborhood). See ya soon with #8!
