Small hack to replace all sprites with one sprite, fixing freeze sprite glitch Pokémon (Red/Blue)
Notes: How it works - conveniently there is some free space after CopyData (00B5), so we can modify 01:D0C2 (sprite dimensions), 01:D0C3-4 (front sprite pointer), 01:D0C5-6 (back sprite pointer) and make the pointer be one source, since CopyData will be run in battle.
This source I chose to be DA80 (stored Pokémon in the PC box when you load the save file), so you can use different save files for different sprites, or just change boxes/alter the current box and experiment with depositing, withdrawing and/or releasing Pokémon for some fun custom glitch sprites. Since DA80 is not loaded from the save at boot (probably just 00 so 256x256 dimensions?), this would normally cause the game to freeze on the title screen with the moving sprites, so I patched out the routine to draw them here too. Since this relies on the save, at present I patched out New Game with "Don't Press", and since the size for all entries together has to be the same without repointing, Options is now short to "OPS".
Soon I'll see if I can do this for Yellow too, so stay tuned.

You can use this by using Lunar IPS to patch a Pokémon Red ROM, then importing the save (BGB; make it the same name as the ROM, VBA; File and import battery file; cart; possibly a dumper like Flashboy can do it with a flash cart of the modified ROM?)
