Info: Well these past couple weeks have been quite draining. Literally haven't done much but try and finish these levels. Not that I'm not having fun doing that because I am, It's just the amount of effort this is taking is kind of crazy. (My fault for waiting till the last minute still.) Well anyways, here is the World 6 Fortress which is exactly designed quite different compare to the other fortresses in this hack. The fortresses in this hack are supposed to be designed kind of similar to the original SMW fortresses but they do have their style to them still. This one however is not the intended to be the same style of the original SMW fortresses, which actually made it quite fun to work on. The first half of the level is quite simple to explain. You can go in either of the doors but some may have more to offer in terms of bonuses as well as some rooms are a bit more difficult than the others. Each room also has their own sprite set, without me mixing tiles. The Dino Rhino room was the only exception as well all know that set doesn't really have much too offer. The other 3 rooms involve the Pokey, Cave and Forest sets and the room after those involves the castle set of course. I thought it would be cool to have a different set for each room and also a good test to see if I can actually use each set well in terms of difficulty.

Anyways, being that this is the final fortress before the final world, its longer compare to the other fortresses, pretty long that I may separate the boss fight in a different level. Not that this fortress is really hard, it's just I didn't know where to set the midpoint. I could've set it before the boss but then that would mean having to start all the way over if you died. At the same time, setting it half way would mean that if you died during the boss, you'd have to do half the level over again. (Which is a good 2 minutes.) Overall I'm actually quite satisfied with this fortress as it pretty much turned out exactly how I imagined it. (Which is rare for that to happen.) I was going to show all the rooms but the video would've been too long, at least for a level showcase video. I just chose my two favorite rooms instead. I like the room with the Cave Set but I liked the room with the Pokey set better as well as like that sprite set better. It was a hard choice between the Dino room and the Forest set room but I chose the Dino room because it's actually the first time I've managed to use the Dino Rhinos effectively. Any levels that involve them I usually have trouble trying to make difficult.

Well I learned a couple things this past week. First one being, I really hate making fortress levels. I recently finished the mid fortress for World 4 after deleting the level and starting over a few times. (I still have to finish the World 4 Fortress, or joy.) Thankfully, World 4's fortress is the only one that needs to be completed. The second thing I learn is that I really do enjoy making ghost houses. I really do like working with the Vanilla Ghost house set as it offers quite a lot. Unlike SMW The After Years, this hack actually does have some ghost houses, though it's on a shortage of water levels.
