Ys V - Ushinawareta Suna no Miyako Kefin (ースV 失われた砂の都ケフィン) or Ys V : Kefin, The Lost City of Sand as it is known in the West market, is an action RPG that developed and published by Falcom in 1995 exclusively for the Japanese market and the Super Nintendo/Super Famicom system.
An updated version called Ys V Expert released in 1996, published by KOEI. Themost notable change was the improvement of difficulty level. The first game quite an easy experience.
In 2006, Falcom developed and published ~through the Taito company~ a 3D remake exclusively for the PS2 system. It was a Japan only release.

Adol is travelling through new lands, in search of more adventure, He hears about the mysteriously vanished desert city of Kefin and immidiately sets off to investigate this ancient city's disappearance.

The gameplay is quite similar to the previous games of the series. This time Adol can jump, use a shield and also, there is a new magic system where you charge up spells and then cast them.
