A playthrough of American Video Entertainment's 1992 unlicensed game for the NES, Solitaire.

I've had this game sitting on my shelf for such a long time, right alongside it's partner Blackjack, and finally had to give in and spend some time with it. It's a surprisingly not bad game! It's very simple, but for an unlicensed game, the graphics are clean, the sound is at least competent, and all the mechanics work the way they should without any weird glitches or bugs. Of course, of the unllicensed cart publishers (besides Tengen and Camerica), AVE's stuff tended to be a fair step up from the dreck that we saw from some other manufacturing houses.

If you didn't have a Windows PC back in 1992, this was a significantly cheaper option you might have exercised to play the classic sinkhole of all things productive.


Is it just me, or is the win tune the exact same as the song in Dudes With Attitude?
