Touch Down Fever (NES) - Playthrough NintendoComplete
A playthrough of SNK's 1991 NES game, Touch Down Fever.
Played as a "league match" as Miami versus Denver.
Here is SNK'S lone 8-bit attempt at American Football, based off the (even in 1991) old coin-op game of the same name. It doesn't have an NFL license so you get the typically city named teams, but they all resemble their real-life counterparts well enough - you even get weird versions of their mascots on the field at half-time. If you can tolerate the horrendous amount of sprite flicker, the graphics are pretty good, and the music is really catchy and thankfully not annoying, since it plays the entire time.
The game plays fast and easy and there isn't much downtime, which is nice. It is a bit easy to run the ball though, and why does everyone throw like an 80 year old woman?
