In fairness, spike growth would *normally* be less of a problem for ranged attackers. What we failed to consider is that kuo-toa are not terribly intelligent, and being possessed by the shadow curse did not improve their decision-making. (More likely the AI just couldn't get a good shot, but hey, long as it ain't me going across the spikes!)
