Here's an attempt at nostalgia that actually kind of works, at first anyway.

The classic wrecking ball boss hasn't been seen much since Sonic 1. It appears in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Advance 1, and 4 Episode 1, two of which are games people don't really play. To see it again with a spiffy new buzzsaw is a really cute throwback, especially since it's actually a prelude to the real boss...
...the Egg Dragoon. On one hand, it's clearly just there to reuse something else from Generations, but I do like how it acts as a complement to Mania having the Death Egg Robot in Green Hill. The fight is kind of lame though. Classic's boss fights in Generations felt as cool and flashy as the rest of the game, while this is your average background boss with no real flair to it. This is his only solo fight in the game too--imagine if he got a real fight against Chaos later on! Luckily the Classic Sonic Improvement Mod actually does that.
