Sonic Forces Stage 4: Death Egg - Prison Hall (100%)
0The Avatar is back for round 2, this time on the Death Egg. Of the game's returning zones, Death Egg is the best. They based it off of the Sonic 3 & Knuckles version, which actually hasn't been seen since 1994, so there's some actual nostalgia here. It also works well thematically with the story, seeing as the Death Egg is Eggman's ultimate battle station. I love the environmental details like the multiple Red Eyes in the background.
Prison Hall isn't that interesting of a level, but it isn't bad. The drifting section at the beginning is kind of cool, and I like the quick step part at the end, even if it's fairly easy to memorize. The Moon Rings are thankfully located here, and since you'll needed to have memorized the proper path to get to the last Red Ring anyway, getting the Moon Rings is easy peasy.
