Sonic the Hedgehog (Sega Master System) - Jungle Zone (Famicom 2A03+Namco 163 Cover)
A few months ago, I was talking with my pal Andy when he and I realized that the first part of the intro jingle from Dig Dug had a similar melody to the start of the melody from Jungle Zone's theme from the Sega Master System version of Sonic the Hedgehog. In that moment, I got the idea to make a Namco 163 cover of Jungle Zone in the style of Dig Dug. After returning from another week-long vacation in Lake George, NY (it was pretty awesome btw), I finally got around to bringing said idea to life, though it became something a bit grander than what I was anticipating (and I managed to do the whole thing pretty quickly to my surprise). A very special thanks goes out to my friend @125scratch2 , who informed me of how to listen to game ROMs in Hoot (which I haven't used in like a year lol), allowing me to properly listen to the individual WSG sound channels of Dig Dug's music. Probably the toughest part of making this cover was the baseline, as the intro jingle of Dig Dug used a particular wavetable that didn't particularly fit the song in my opinion; I ended up using a separate Dig Dug wavetable for the baseline that fit it much better. With all the technical jargon out of the way, I hope you guys enjoy this cover of another Yuzo Koshiro jam! ^w^\n\nHere are the downloads for this song: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Fvw0FV84yjoITXkPYK9FAAbmshp4UspQ?usp=sharing\n\nComposed by: Yuzo Koshiro (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe_lUL6kLzZLS49SIdHly5A)\nFamicom Arrangement by: Andrew Ambrose\n\n\n\nPatreon Shout-outs (August 2022):\nAustin Kaiser\n\nBe sure to share this cover if you enjoyed it, and consider supporting me on Patreon (100% optional): https://www.patreon.com/AndrewAmbrose
