Sony A7iii Internal Onboard Microphones Test for Dialogue Audio Quality
31In this video I'm testing the internal, or on-board, microphones of the Sony A7iii with my mate Threlly.
The record level was set lower than usual so as to not clip the input if there were any sudden peaks in the sound going on around us. The audio is raised in post with help of a peak limiter.
The microphones did not have any wind filters on them, so this example should give a good idea of how the Sony A7 III internal mics handle wind. We were right on the river front of the Mersey in between the Albert Dock and the Pier Head and there was a bit of a breeze coming in in off the river from the Irish sea.
I will be doing another dialogue example of the internal mics on the A7 iii but with some Rycote Micro WindJammers, to see how effective they are with these particular internal mics.
