Soul Calibur II - Gamecube - Link from Zelda 1CC Playthrough & Intro [UHD 4K]
15Full one credit clear gameplay, longplay, playthrough, walkthrough, guide and trueplay of the arcade mode on the Nintendo Gamecube version of Soul Calibur 2. Link from The Legend of Zelda series was exclusive to the Nintendo Gamecube console, however when Soul Calibur 2 was released each format had their own character with Heihachi on PlayStation 2 and Todd McFarlane's Spawn on Xbox. Todd McFarlane also did the design for the character Nerid, who featured in the home version. However, he and a number of the console exclusive characters ended up getting banned from most tournaments. Due to the amount of balancing issues they had.
Soul Calibur II is a true highlight of the series, with the console ports being packed with additional characters and content. Even if some of it hadn't been arcade field tested first. Japanese owners even got the raw end of the stick with their version releasing first and not including Assassin, Lizard Man and Berserker as playable characters.
Arcade fans prefer the North American version over the PAL release as it introduced some balance changes and bugs that some players didn't like. As a home game it really was hugely impressive and set a standard that most of the later games didn't follow.
Inn 2013 a HD online version was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 which included both Heihachi and Spawn, making it the most complete version there is. However, Link remains and likely always will be a Nintendo format only character.
