Mighty Hits - SEGA Saturn - Intro & Normal Mode Playthrough and Ending [4K50]
Full gameplay, longplay, playthrough, walkthrough trueplay and guide to the main game in normal mode on the SEGA Saturn. Warning flashing images are shown in this video. Mighty Hits is a wild west themed light gun arcade shooter similar to Namco's Point Blank. We previously covered the PlayStation 1 Special version on the channel, so here is a chance to look at the original on Saturn. The first Mighty Hits got release on both PS1 and Saturn, however the PS1 version never got released outside of Japan. This Saturn version made it to PAL regions, but not NTSC/U (North America).
It's a quirky mix of mini-games many that feel a little at odds with the game's western setting. Mini-games include, free a penguin trapped in ice, ringing musical bells. Taking out three swing watches with one shot, finding the blue rabbit and shooting bottles to name, but a few. It's a rather unique mix and the game gets hit with each of the difficulties. There are four in total with the very hard unlocking once you clear the Hard mode. Each mode has it's own FMV ending, so players should work their way up the difficulties, the rules of some games change as you go. Downside the PAL version shown in this video is only partly optimised, this makes some of the game, near impossible on the later settings as a result.
It's a shame the game and series never got a proper sequel, the PS1 did get a budget re-release called Mighty Hits Special, which had some new mini-games.
Sega Saturn cheats for the game:
Unlock Hardest Course Early:
When selecting the difficulty, shoot U then R from the word "COURSE" and then L from "SELECT" on the course select screen, to unlock the final fourth course early. Which is normally unlocked after clearing hard. Note if you make a mistake and shoot the wrong letters the cheat won't work.
Select a Stage:
On the stage select screen in the following order shoot the letters S then E from "STAGE" and then L and T from "SELECT". This will allow you to select the three stages for the next round. Note if you make a mistake and shoot the wrong letters the cheat won't work.
