Spider-Man the Videogame - Arcade - Intro, attract and playthrough as Spider-Man [UHD 4K60]
Full longplay / playthrough / walkthrough of the Sega System 32 arcade title as Spider-Man. Spider-Man's first arcade game was a scrolling beat'em up cross with platforming sections like Shinobi. Forgive the fact that Sega misspelt video game in the title, for Marvel fans this was a sight to behold when it first appeared in the arcades. It supported four players with Black Cat, Hawkeye and Sub-Mariner aiding the web crawling hero. Villains include Venon, Electro, Lizard, Scorpion, Kingpin and Doctor Doom as the final boss.
It's wasn't that popular in arcades partly due to the health decreasing over time, making the game unfairly difficult. While the sprite are nice and detailed something just doesn't look quite right with Spider-Man as he looks like a middle aged man with man boobs. Still despite the flaws like all System 32 games it's a pity this never made it to the Saturn or any other home console. Nothing beats playing as a web crawling super hero either!
With both creators of the iconic character Stan Lee & Steve Ditko passing away this year (2018) showing this classic arcade game seem a fitting tribute to their comic book creation.
