I'm a bit rusty at everything at the moment, so I'm pulling out the trusty Carbon Roller to try to get some mojo. Of course, I know I need ink to work in, and that the other team are all strong inklings, so I don't rush in to anything, but am kinda forced to move by Tenta Missiles. Thankfully, the Inkbrush doesn't see enough of me, at least not until I circle back around to chase the Rainmaker.

I return to dodge more Tenta Missiles and tidy up after them for longer than I want to, and decide to hit the flank at last, which coincides nicely with my squidmate bringing the Rainmaker this way. And the green team. I do more tidying up, chucking a Chicken to test the ink, and spot some drops to my right. I cover our flank, wondering if the inkling is going to hop the water, but they just get back to inking. I can't say I mind, not when my squidmates steal the lead. Nice!

I'm note entirely sure what's happening or where I should be, so I just tidy up the flank to prevent a quick counter-attack and watch for the Rainmaker's return. My ambush does not quite go to plan. Still, I get to destroy the Beakon near our podium, and wander back to the action to casually stop a Splashdown before rolling away. I keep the turf pink, help burst the Rainmaker free, and launch an Ink Storm, before looking for that other Beakon.

I roll around inking turf, and I think a Chicken gets another splat. Circling back finds the Dualies, loses them, then gets the splat with a good vertical flick, but the next splat doesn't come when I try to hit a squidmate over the head with my Roller. Still, the Rainmaker is using this distraction well, and I hop the water to help out, getting one splat just after the Rainmaker is dropped, then two quick ones when it is picked up again. Nice!

My neat moves give me confidence that is perhaps misplaced, as I rush forwards to be the wrong side of a Splash Wall and get splatted for nothing, but that's okay, as it puts me in the right place to intercept the return push by the green team. Quite why I then go in the other direction is because I like destroying Beakons, and flanking, and I get to do both, although maybe inking my feet a bit more would have made me more effective.

I super-jump to the Rainmaker, give them a Chicken for support, and head around the side again. I work out which wall I can squid up and which I can't, and squid up the one I can. It would have been quicker just to walk behind the Rainmaker, to be honest. I pick a Beakon to super-jump to next, hoping it's safer without a landing ring, and try to work out where everyone is. I don't really know, so just hide from trouble before destroying a Beakon and defensively inking turf. It's probably effective.

As time runs out, the green team get their mitts on the Rainmaker for one last push. I hold back, looking for the right moment to strike, then rush ahead to get in to reckless danger. My squidmates splat the Rainmaker in time, though. Woomy!
