Splatoon 3: A fun set of weapons in Salmon Run [29-27-39-xs, 24/1332]
The Splatanas are pretty good at inking walls, which is nice. I'm a bit disappointed my leaping hit doesn't splat the Drizzler, though, but I can see why the second attempt failed. The Lid splats the Drizzler, and I get a couple of eggs back, interrupted by the Steel Eel, and I hop over the other side of the ship as a Big Shot appears. My squidmates have it splatted, but I stay to help out with eggs and a Stinger, and, of course, another Big Shot before too long. We sensibly don't overstay our welcome, and back near the basket I splat a Fish Finger, where I stay to keep the attention of a Steelhead. Maybe we could have got another couple of eggs, but it's a good start to the Run.
The second wave is low tide, where I get a slower weapon than I'm used to, but it has good range and inking power, helping with a Flipper easily enough. A Lid is simple, and I head across to help with a couple of Stingers, missing a Maws as I go. A squidmate is getting hassled by Chum, so I splat them to ease the pressure, before going to splat another Stinger, which becomes two. The second gets me splatted by a Smallfry, but it's a noble sacrifice. It would be more better if I were revived, but at least we make it to the end of the wave.
The tide stays out, and I have the Hydra Splatling. This should be okay, with room to move. A Flyfish is for someone else, but I can stop the Scrapper and splat the Steelhead, and I keep myself moving and the ink running, keeping the turf clear. More Steelheads are nice and easy, particularly one that appears behind me, which I check for before trying to splat a Fish Finger. I run out of ink then, which is awkward, the Fish Fingers making it difficult to find turf to fill my tank, but I make the most of the situation by using a Dolphin to get clear and Splat a Stinger. The turf is still mucky from the Fish Fingers, though, and I struggle to get across the basket again. Another Dolphin is useful, reviving a squidmate to let them dunk one last egg in time, and the Run is a success!
No, it's an emergency! Mandatory overtime required. The Dapple Dualies are nice to have for this, and it's fun for the Zuna to wander right under a Lid too. That looked to do some damage. I skid past to splat a Stinger, and we have a bounty of eggs right away! It's a shame I dodge-roll in to the water, really. That was embarrassing, but maybe no one saw it, unlike my seeing the Cohock splat my would-be reviver in to the water too. The Hydra Splatling gets me, which is nice, so I keep the Cohocks off their back before getting back to work. I thoroughly fail to bring a Lid down in time and am splatted again, but the Hydra Splatling is there for me once more. I use my Dolphin, bring the Lids down, revive the Hydra Splatling in return, and now we just have eggs everywhere to fire at the Zuna. It doesn't stand a chance. Woomy!
