Splatoon 3: A good final push in Rainmaker [12(2)-4, Clash Blaster Neo]
I'm trying the Clash Blaster Neo, because I like Curling Bombs and want to see what the Super Chump can do. What I can do is get stuck on a small ledge, which is fun, but I dislodge myself and get stuck in to a little battle, which I do well to leap away from. I move up, applying some pressure, and get a couple of splats ahead of the dropped Rainmaker. My squidmates are splatting too, and a wipeout should let us reach the first checkpoint, even with just one of us up. One? With the purple team wiped out? Yep, because Egge squished themselves with the Rainmaker shield.
Our rando makes it to the checkpoint, but the returning purple team have the numbers to push back. I probably could have predicted that. I return quickly behind a Curling Bomb to a Rainmaker freed and some splatted inklings, so I grab the Rainmaker and run. The way forwards almost looks clear, and I hold back a little, even getting a good splat until caught in an Inkstrike.
I am more cautious as I return, and for the best, with a double Ink Storm coming, and while I am watching and waiting my squidmates splat the entire purple team. Let's go! I push forwards and blast away, hitting nothing but air, which is unfortunate, whereas the purple team hit me. We reset and try again, my moving around the Rainmaker giving me some good angles to hit the purple inklings. We get a good opportunity and move up again, this time my blasts hitting more than air, and as I clean up behind us, my squidmates move the Rainmaker to the podium. Woomy!
