Splatoon 3: Going with the tides in Salmon Run [42-33-40, 29/686]
Inking walls with a Range Blaster is painful! Someone has to do it, though. At least inking the turf is easier, so that the Flippers aren't too difficult, because there are quite a few of them flying in. There are a couple of Big Shots too, but a squidmate is on top of that, so I leave them to it and splat the Fish Finger instead. If only I had managed to shoot over the top, the shaft may have disintegrated too. The Drizzler resolutely refuses to shoot at me, even though I'm waiting, which a Maws takes as an invitation to nibble my toes. I manage to avoid that, and accidentally hit a Drizzler behind me, which I finish off, and cram a last few eggs in to the basket for a decent first wave.
The E-litre 4K, huh? At least I have the room of low tide to work in, if not the inked walls. And I find myself splatting a Flyfish. I make use of the charger soon enough, though, bringing down a Lid from a distance, before using more Splat Bombs, to good effect! Then I'm back to charging, splatting Scrapper and Steel Eel, only to get splatted by a camouflaged Chum swinging its pan at someone else. So it goes. I am revived, reposition, and get back to splatting, but as we need eggs I go looking, only to be tempted by a Lid. I nearly get away with it, but am tipped in to the water. We have quota, though, so we survive the wave.
The final wave gives me a good inking weapon in the Splattershot Jr as the tide comes in. Early bosses are nice and simple, as they stay to the lower turf, apart from lone Flyfish. I miss a Maws, which is disappointing, and the pressure starts to build, with Chum getting everywhere, so I change my focus to thinning the herd for a while, before getting back in to boss splatting at the top of a Fish Finger. I use a Killer Wail for a single-binned Flyfish, or that was the plan, as it splats a Flipper instead, and spend the last few seconds cramming eggs in to the basket, until I'm splatted. Two of us survive, getting us to the end of the run, with a pretty good total. Woomy!
