A different approach to the start of this battle, and it almost pays off. I get beyond one of the Vanilla pairs, but it's probably all a bit obvious with nothing much else happening, and all the others pounce. At least I got my Bubbler charged, not that I use it for ages, instead building up a decent foundation to move forwards. But a nice splat when shooting the Wave Breaker gives us an opportunity to grab the Signal, with my squidmate's Inkstrike for cover and the Bubbler for protection. It's a smooth move.
We hold the central turf for a bit longer, and I'm wondering if we can grab the second Signal straight away. I'm getting more confident as the splats come, but forget that the Vanilla inklings come from both sides, including behind me. A short outing next, avenging my squidmate and getting one more splat until overwhelmed, but the Sprinkler is doing its job, and our percentage is creeping up to Vanilla's.
I make another dash for the Signal as we enter the final minute, feeling a bit desperate as I run out of ink against the Painbrush, but perhaps I could have used the ink refill from activating the Bubbler to splat the Painbrush before making my move. Things are looking good in the final thirty seconds, and I get a bunch of splats to help a final grab for the signal. Mint have other ideas, and secure it for themselves, but the victory is safe. Woomy!
