Splatoon 3: Low tide brings in the eggs in Salmon Run [41-50-30, 27/905]
High tide! Let's ink the walls! I thought the Big Swig Roller would be better at it, but never mind. At least it is as good as I hope for splatting a Fish Finger, even if I have no idea of my ink-tank levels afterwards. A Scrapper and Maws back at the basket are good for quick eggs, and more bosses come our way, helpfully splatted thanks to a Steelhead, and it's only ink tanks again that limit our ability to get the eggs the short distance to the basket. A good start!
A less-than-stellar start to the second wave, as Frosty jumps in to the water, but even a bit of mucking around doesn't stop me splatting a Maws. A Lid and Flipper coincide nicely, and a Steel Eel winding around the basket doesn't matter so much without a retinue. Synchronised Maws are nice, and I don't panic when a Big Shot wanders on to shore. A Dolphin gets them inky, and then I start splatting and launching eggs. More bosses get more eggs to fire with the cannon, but we seem to have too high an inklings-to-Big Shot cannon ratio. My squidmate Frosty heads back to get the eggs in to the basket, and I hang around a bit longer. I head back and dunk more eggs, and more eggs, and we end up with the half-century. Nice!
It's not low tide again, my gambit not paying off, and this time a Big Shot comes out early. It's good to see synchronisation as we head down there, waiting to splat the Flyfish first, which doesn't actually get splatted somehow. I head back to the basket this time, too many inklings by the cannon again, and revive our beleaguered squidmate there as I await eggs to be fired my way. They don't come, so I go back down and fire them myself, until the turf gets too crowded. But it's too late, and an Ink Storm finishes me off. Three Drizzler missiles makes me think we have too many Drizzlers, but it's a bit late to worry about that. We splat a Maws, I splat half a Flyfish, and we call it a day on another successful run. Woomy!
