Splatoon 3: Cohozunas are stopped with eggs in Salmon Run [36-30-40-xs, 23/1008]
There are too many walls to ink! But I will ink what I can. At least the bosses wander in slowly to start with, although they soon come faster. I find myself caught between options for a while, until I grab an egg and have a Maws on me. I'll lure her back to the basket. A Scrapper comes too, which is nice, and bungs some eggs close by. That makes up for both attempts to splat the Steelhead with my Splat Dualies, which I'm sure they can do, just not by me. We still end with a decent enough egg tally.
The Jet Squelcher gives me more range, which I put to use my shooting the back of a squidmate's head, between hitting the Fish Finger. I stay on my vantage point for the moment, but eggs need to go in the basket, so I drop down and contribute from the floor, where bringing a Lid down on a Steel Eel helps nicely. I can hit Fish Fingers too, which is good. I bring Lids to the turf, though, and use one to shoot another. Flyfish become annoying, but they are distant and time is running out, so I dodge their shots and just look for more eggs.
Back to basics with the Splattershot Jr, and for low tide. Maws and a Flipper make an easy start, although I muck up a little with the Drizzler. I don't let it rain on us, though, and get back to work nearer the basket, before heading down to the shore where a Stinger has already been splatted. Never mind, I avoid the Cohock and make it back, where things are starting to get nicely hectic. An Inkjet helps out, as does a Wave Breaker, and I keep the Lids down, if not the Flyfish. Another successful Salmon Run!
Wait, here comes a Zuna! I have the Hydra Splatling, which I'm encouraged to shoot directly at the Zuna, believing it to do a good amount of damage. It really doesn't, though, and it is pretty much a waste of ink and time. At least I am contributing little bits here and there, and manage to grab an egg to splat a Steelhead, throwing those eggs at the Zuna. And, sensing victory, I jump in to an overheated Crab to help finish it all off. Woomy!
