Splatoon 3: Securing two Signals in White Chocolate Splatfest [10(3)-3, Range Blaster]
Team White Chocolate! And we're getting stuck right in to Tricolour battles. I'm using my trusty Range Blaster, which isn't bad at inking turf, but pretty good at picking off inklings, as long as they don't run at me too fast. I apply pressure to Dark Chocolate early, which isn't much of an option, and get lucky when one of them runs right at me. Milk Chocolate goes for the Signal, a little early as it hasn't dropped yet, wasting their Bubble in the process. I see an inkling coming for me, and am happy they stay pretty straight in their path.
There's a proper attempt at the Signal, which fails, and is probably a good reason why I shouldn't rush in behind before getting any splats. Never mind. I respect the bear ears. I return to help my squidmate, and try to get close to the Signal, dodging a Dolphin, and give it another go. I snag the Signal just before I'm splatted. Nice!
I ink behind the scenes for a bit, and maybe it's for the best, as I'm being targeted and wouldn't survive in the wild. I drop down to look for splats, and get chases by Dark Chocolate, where running out of ink doesn't help me. We have enough turf for me to escape, at least, and I even think about just making a grab for the Signal. It goes better than expected. We've got two Sprinklers going now, so it's just a matter of holding turf and pushing the other teams back.
I get some nice splats, and try to push forwards, to press our advantage, but it looks scary out there. I pull back a bit, dodging a Dolphin in an unorthodox manner by falling off the stage. I don't know how I get that splat afterwards. As time runs out, I try to secure more turf, which would go better if I actually started shooting. But it all looks good, at least until the dying seconds, when the Specials start flying. Despite the two Sprinklers, we miss out on the direct victory. Still, it was pretty good to snag the Signals.
