Splatoon 3: Warming up in All-Grizzco Salmon Run [39-66-40-xs, 28/1340]
All-Grizzco weapon weekend! To be honest, I thought it would be easier than it is, but Next Wave is a fair bit more difficult, and the two new Grizzco weapons can be tricky to use. Still, it's fun to get to use them all weekend, all the time. I don't need one to splat the first boss, the Steelhead wandering under a Lid. Stingers pose little problem for a blaster, but going back for eggs is a bad habit of mine I need to work on, and how late was that throw on the Flyfish? Get it together, tigerears. I get back to the basket to help with Steel Eels and a Maws, before pulling down another Lid, and splatting a Steelhead the conventional way. Now we have eggs to deposit. I keep doing that despite the Big Shot and Cohocks, but there isn't that much time left in the wave.
The tide comes in for the second wave, and I have the bucket. If only I didn't need to ink the walls with it, but no one else looks like they are inclined to. Still, the bosses come, and we start splatting, and I head out to help with a Stinger, where going back for an egg gets me splatted again. I'm revived, get on the lift, and run out of ink, which is a sticky situation for the bucket. But I manage to squid up a wall, which is why we ink them, and on to a Lid, where I hop over to a Fish Finger to get out of trouble for a bit. I drop down to help with a Steel Eel and some Steelheads, and we end up with so many eggs at the basket we can't get them all in! We do well with that wave.
On to the final wave and my squidmates do their best to revive me, which is nice of them. I have a Blaster now, which is good for inking, and amazing for Fish Fingers. I move on to bring down a couple of Lids, and head back to run in to a Maws. I make a mistake in splatting the overloaded Snatcher, as those eggs were going back to the basket, and the Snatchers' path can really help at high tide. I move on to more bosses, and get squished by a Steel Eel against a wall, which only wasn't inked at the bottom becomes of the salmonids. I can't blame anyone for that. Did I hop over the Wave Breaker and not get revived? Not the second time, at least, and I squid up a Fish Finger to get out of trouble. Only a Maws follows me. That's okay, there are eggs to collect, and we finish strongly again. High five!
Uh-oh, here comes a Zuna! I have a Bucket, and start hitting the Zuna with everything I have, which also pierces through to the bosses. We have eggs galore to throw, so we throw them, at least until I'm splatted. I'm revived, and create more eggs, which I think my squidmates are using, because the Zuna is splatted really quickly! And while I am squished as a crab. It's a great result, including the silver scales we get, bringing me closer to a new slopsuit. Woomy!
