Nitori and Momizi (the Batman and Robin of Youkai Mountain ) are the Scene 4 bosses of the game Double Spoiler, the 12.5th installment of the Touhou Project and sequel to Shoot the Bullet. The Touhou Project is a danmaku shooter series created by the dynamic duo that composes Team Shanghai Alice: ZUN and his faithful beer.
Hear that? That's the sound of epicness in progress. Warning, if you are seeing this before the video, this video might cause an overdose of epicness that might put you into a temporary but well worth it coma. This video is what happens when you put me and give me a SHO song, and in turn you give SHO a vocalist. "Save the Land", Engrish or not, is the single most epic arrange of "The Gensokyo The Gods Loved", which is one of the most epic lines ever spoken (or written) in the Touhou series.
"You're overusing the word 'epic'" you say? Why yes, yes I am, and with very good reasons. In the Touhou fandom,there are some music circles known for being one of the best, if not THE best at what they do. In the Rock/Metal there are many contenders, Demetori and Iron Attack are definitely somewhere on the top. In the Techno side, Alice Emotion dominates. In Classic/Violin, nobody even comes close to TAMusic's knees. Pop/Funky/Whatever the hell you call IOSYS's music. They excel at whatever they do. Folk/Irish? Well, k-waves lab is the only one ^_^'. In the vocal department things are a little hard, but Unlucky Morpheus and Liz Triangle are, IMO, dominating lately and Silver Forest is pretty well known. And so on, so on.
Maybe these are my opinion. However, if there is something like Epic Metal/Rock; SHO is by unanimous decision the dominating artist at the genre. Here's a challenge: pick a Touhou boss, look for an arrangement made by SHO. Now listen to that music while seeing somebody trashing the boss, preferably in Lunatic. Chances are "epic" is not enough. Hell, Hong Meiling, Scarlet Playthrough, go watch.
Well, I really don't have much to say. Other than TAKE THAT FANDOM!!! HA, MY INTERPRETATION OF DEADPAN SNARKER MOMIZI IS WAY MORE ACCURATE THAN THE MOE-MOE CRAP YOU TRY TO SELL US.
I seriously love ZUN for making it (more) canonical that Momizi is NOT the moe, tame puppy she is in fandom. Well, at least to Aya. I like the kickass, rebellious Momizi a lot more. Plus she plays Shogi with Nitori. I like to think she normally wins =)
As for the actual scene: still nothing big. Come on, I want to get to the juicy stuff already =o
