We round up a lot of smaller changes and additions in this Let's Play Starbound 1.3 preview - including the new visual novel engine that allows you to play a visual novel mini-game via an arcade machine interface.

The only current visual novel in Starbound 1.3 RC6 is the Beautiful Attempt! machine, which we test out to get a taste of how the engine works.

Also in this let's Play Starbound 1.3 preview, we take a look at the new rail tram system, with trams you can control as they go from stop to stop. We see a basic way of how to wire rail trams so that you can call the tram by pressing a wired button.

We also play around with new space station-themed blocks, allowing you to extend your space station's walls with blocks that can work diagonally, a rarity in Starbound! And we check out a few improvements to the navigation system that have been added since the first preview release of 1.3, including a threat level for anomolies and a zoom out icon.
