We've already seen how to unlock your first basic Starbound 1.3 mech, now we see how you can customise your mech by building more powerful components.

First we need to unlock the mech component recipes, which come in several flavours - basic mech blueprints, advanced mech blueprints, high tech mech blueprints and experimental mech blueprints. In this let's Play Starbound 1.3 preview we see where to find them, and how their randomness works.

We also see what salvaged parts you need to build your mech components, how they are split into tiers and more.

In this let's Play Starbound 1.3 preview we play around with several new components found by unlocking them with blueprints, improving our mech's speed with new boosters. We also try out our first replacement weapons, and use them to successfully board a hostile NPC ship!

In the next episode, we'll take a look at every single mech weapon you can craft in 1.3 for now.
