Steamworld Heist was one of my all-time favourite games on the good ol’ 3DS, and now it has a sequel that may end up being even better than the original!

In this video I attempt the first mission that allows you to bring 3 crewmembers instead of 2, in order to show off a wider variety of characters and skills. If you’ve played Steamworld Heist before then it should all be familiar, but there are a few new ideas here such as the explorable world map.

Unlike most of my videos where I do multiple takes before settling on the best one, this was a ‘blind take’ of a mission that I’d never played before (because the game doesn’t let you do that thing where you make a manual save and retry the same section multiple times). As a result I made a few mistakes here- such as forgetting that the Snipers in this game need to reload after every shot, or forgetting to use the Brawler's 'Charge' skill- but I hope the video still does a good job of showing what the game is all about for new and returning players. And hey, I still 100%-ed the mission so I'll take that as a win!
