This is a play-through using Arcade Balrog in the PS1 version of Street Fighter Alpha 3. Read on below for more information...

Arcade Balrog is a hidden character in this game. He is a hidden playable character.

===== Additional Information =====

---- He is programmed into the game as a separate character with his own slot.

---- His 5th Stage opponent is Gen; 9th Stage opponent is Birdie; and 10th Stage boss is Final Bison.

---- Even though he is technically a separate/'different' character in the game's data, he has regular Balrog's routes, interaction dialogues and ending.

---- As the Arcade version of him, he has less unique basic moves when compared to the new Balrog.

---- He is known as M.Bison in Japan.

---- The game is known as Street Fighter Zero 3 in Japan.

===== About Arcade Balrog =====
An alternative version of Balrog, he is in fact the Arcade SFA3 version of him. As mentioned earlier, he has less basic moves than the regular Balrog. The Special Moves and Super Combos however are exactly the same.

It appears that Arcade Balrog is still used for the boss fights of the characters which have him on their route near the end, for example Rainbow Mika.

===== About PS1 SFA3 =====
The PS1 version of SFA3 is a superb port considering the hardware limitations of the console. It actually has MORE characters and more content than the original Arcade version.

In comparison to SFA2, the animation for the larger characters (i.e. Zangief) and heavy animation characters (i.e. Gen) is much better this time round, and that's due to the hit sparks, block sparks, dust, etc. being rendered as 3D objects, which saves video memory for more character animation frames.

The extra features and modes, especially the World Tour mode, finds it's way to other console ports. Always remember that it originated from the PS1 version!
