Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold [PS1] - play as SF2 Chun-Li
This is a playthrough using SF2 Chun-Li in the PS1 version of Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold. Read on below for more information...
SF2 Chun-Li is a hidden character in this game. She is a hidden playable character.
===== Additional Information =====
---- She is programmed into the game as a separate character with her own slot.
---- Her personal boss in the game is M.Bison.
---- Whilst it appears that she has the exact same ending as regular Chun Li, it actually isn't. In her ending, you'll find that she's wearing her SF2 outfit when she is speaking to M.Bison. The story is the same.
---- Even though she is technically a separate/'different' character in the game's data, she has regular Chun Li's routes, interaction dialogues, etc.
---- As a SF2 version character, she cannot taunt, air-block, tech throw, land roll, use supers, use Alpha counters, or use Custom Combos. She also does not have a pre-fight intro.
---- The PS1 version of the game features an automatic full-animation mode for mirror matches of characters who have had their animations cut... for example Zangief.
---- The game is known as Street Fighter Zero 2' (Dash) in Japan.
---- Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold is basically the home version of the arcade game Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha.
===== About SF2 Costume Chun-Li =====
An alternative version of Chun-Li, based on her SF2:CE appearance. As mentioned earlier, she cannot taunt, air-block, tech throw, land roll, use supers, use Alpha counters, or use Custom Combos. She also does not have a pre-fight intro.
===== About SFA2G =====
SFA2G is part of a 2-disc game collection called Street Fighter Collection, with the other games in the collection being SSF2 & SSF2T. Back then, I would imagine most people bought the collection for SSF2/SSF2T rather than SFA2G if they already had the original SFA2.
Additionally, the proper Arcade intro is in this game. The intro is not arcade perfect, but it's still a different world to the FMV disgrace found in the original PS1 SFA2. The Training Mode from SFA2 is removed for this version of the game, and instead replaced with Akuma Mode.
