📌 Additional Notes on Stygian: Outer Gods Performance:
Stygian: Outer Gods is built with Unreal Engine 5 and includes precompiled shaders, which help significantly reduce stuttering during gameplay. I tested a preview build, and the game turned out to be quite demanding for the RX 6600 XT. Performance may improve in the Early Access version launching on April 14, and the final release build could also bring further optimizations.
The minimum system requirements list a RX 6600 with 8GB of VRAM, and based on my experience, that’s pretty close to the truth — especially regarding VRAM usage.
⚠ ️ There’s also a specific issue with TSR and graphics presets:
If you choose TSR: Native and then switch to any graphics preset other than Epic, the game will quietly lower the render scale below 100%, even though it still says "Native" in the menu. That’s because the Low, Medium, and High presets don’t use native resolution by default and override the TSR setting. To fix it, just switch TSR to something else, apply the changes, then switch it back to Native.
⏳ Timestamps:
0:00 Low + Render Scale: 100% + 1080p
3:50 Medium + Render Scale: 100% + 1080p
5:45 Medium + TSR: Quality + 1080p
8:15 Low + TSR: Quality + 1080p
