PREVIOUSLY:
The party arrives at the deserted village of North Window. Viktor tells a story about his past, and how his village had turned into a ghost town in the hands of a vampire named Neclord. During the conversation, the wielder of the moon rune himself appears, shocking Viktor in the process. The mercenary leader thought that he had eliminated the vampire in the past, but Neclord laughs it off. He summons the undead from the graves, causing the group to retreat. Viktor claims that they will have to retrieve the Star Dragon Sword, the only weapon that could harm the vampire.
The party arrives at the Cave of Wind in search of the legendary sword. During their search, they meet a man named Kahn, who waited for Viktor's arrival as he also wants to banish Neclord for what he did to his family, but can only do so with the Star Dragon Sword. Kahn also reveals that Neclord uses clone magic, a doppelganger trick that allows him to produce clones of himself with his powers, Viktor soon learns that the Neclord he defeated a few years ago was just a clone, much to his dismay.
The party, along with Kahn, continues to move deeper into the cave, where they finally reach the location of the legendary Star Dragon Sword. Viktor started calling the sword names, and the others were surprised as the sword was able to speak and replied with similarly vulgar words. The Star Dragon Sword is enraged by Viktor's lack of respect towards it, and launches an attack against them.
The party managed to defend themselves and calm the sword down. Viktor soon changes his tone to a more respectful manner, realizing that its the only way to obtain the sword's cooperation. Kahn helps in convincing Star Dragon Sword to help them eliminate Neclord, to which the sword agrees.
With the Star Dragon Sword in possession, Viktor and the party make their way to the castle top in North Window Village, where they meet Neclord himself. The vampire tries to use a clone of a person dear to Viktor in order to get his hands on the legendary sword and destroy it, but the mercenary leader does not fall to his dirty tricks. Neclord then uses his magic to disappear, but leaves behind an undead monster, which the party managed to defeat.
The gang makes their way out of the castle, and Kahn leaves the party to look Neclord's whereabouts. They're about to exit the village, but soon sees Flik and the others approaching them. Flik reveals that South Window City had fallen to Highland, with Granmeyer surrendering without a fight.
