This is a run of Sunrider's Hard Mode in version 4.2a. I made this to give other players an idea of the strategies I used to win. All missions will be completed without using mid-battle saves, to ensure that the strategy is consistent enough to be replicated to some extent. Depending on what attacks hit or miss, you may not be able to follow my strategy exactly, so improvise as needed!

There's two versions of the second Versta mission. Here is Mission 8, the somewhat infamous escort mission where you have to trudge a weaponless ship across the map 2 spaces at a time. The route not taken is Mission 7, where you fight alongside Icari instead of against her.

I had a practice run where I completed this Mission using only 1 rocket. In my attempts to replicate it while recording, I failed a couple of times. After that I just use 2 rockets on Turn 2, because if any level deserves it it's this one! I just can't get comfortable waging a Kinetics war without Claude's Aim Down around.

I ran into a somewhat sticky situation on the first 2 reinforcement cruisers that appeared. Repair Black Jack, or Disable the Cruiser sitting 4 spaces away from the Sunrider? In the end I decided to repair. And lo! The Cruiser missed somehow, with something like 70% accuracy. I definitely wouldn't have tried to destroy the extra cruiser at the end if that shot landed.

Though I was able to complete this one without Vanguard Cannon, I guess I wasn't exactly wrong to use it in my previous run of the game; there's definitely a lot that can go wrong in this mission.
